We’ve come to love listening to outdoors podcasts. It keeps us in the woods or on the water, even if only in our mind. You can learn from hunting and fishing legends, and hear amazing stories like first hand accounts from pro anglers and how they conquered the conditions and some of the top fishermen in the world. Or you can get sucked into near-death experiences, like being charged by a brown bear in Alaska while packing out an elk.

MeatEater with Steve Rinella
The bear attack story? That’s real. Steve’s show weaves in and out of hunting trip recaps and interviews with hunting industry influencers. Sometimes those are significant leaders, like Becky Lacey, the head of the National Wild Turkey Federation. In that episode, they outline how NWTF saved the species by trapping and relocating. Other times, Steve will interview lesser-known, but incredibly fascinating outdoorsmen such as a few fellas from Florida who proudly live out the Gladesmen lifestyle.
Whether it’s Steve’s interviews about hunting hogs, deer, squirrels or rabbits, this show is like sitting around a campfire with your buddies—hilarious, candid and memorable. While all of Steve’s shows are great, you just have to listen to “The Meat Tree” part one and two. It’s hours of the stress of a bear attack. And it’s incredible.
Bass Edge with Aaron Martin and Kurt Dove
If you’re more into rippin’ lips than chasing bucks, this show is a fantastic experience with two professional anglers, Aaron Martin and Kurt Dove. Not only do they tell some great fishing tales, but they also lay down seasonally relevant tactics for anglers to ensure you’re always sharpening your game. We like this show because it’s so relevant to both newbies and veterans alike. And Aaron and Kurt are just down to earth guys who are fun to listen to.
These shows are quick and easy to digest and great for someone new to podcasts. Give one a try on your next trip to work or when you’re headed out to the lake. We promise it’ll get you pumped to start wetting some lines.
Restless Native with Brad Luttrell
Sometimes you just want to be entertained or inspired. And in that case, we have the perfect show. Our buddy Brad Luttrell started an outdoors podcast, which focuses on interesting people and great stories. The podcast highlights highly driven individuals in the outdoors, and it’s not just big name hunters. So far, Brad’s talked to people like social media superstar and noodler Hannah Barron, former Navy SEAL Stephen Holley, and wild game chef, Jeremiah Doughty. Oh, and he might just have a show coming with someone frequenters of this site will recognize…
